Student Protection Plan
Kingston Academy website policy.
Purpose
Kingston Academy aims to protect learners’ ability to complete their programme if unexpected operational, financial, regulatory, venue or staffing issues affect delivery.
Key Risks
Risks include financial instability, loss or change of awarding-organisation approval, course suspension, venue unavailability, IT failure, severe weather and public emergencies.
Mitigation
Measures include financial monitoring, quality assurance, contingency venues, alternative tutors, revised timetables, online delivery where appropriate and communication with awarding organisations.
Continuation Arrangements
Where normal delivery cannot continue, Kingston Academy will seek to teach out the programme, reschedule, provide an alternative mode or venue, or support transfer to another approved provider.
Refunds and Compensation
Where continuation cannot reasonably be maintained, refunds or compensation may be considered under the relevant policies.
Communication and Review
Affected learners will receive timely updates by email, telephone, platform messages or meetings. This plan is reviewed periodically and after any significant disruption.
